CITY ACADEMIC CENTRE PTE LTD

City Academic Centre is a training organisation approved by Singapore Workforce Development Agency for professional training of security officers.

The 911 incident in the United States, the bombing incidents in Spain, Bali, Jarkata, and more recently, the seizure of a school in Belsan in the Russian Caucasus, had so shockingly awakened the world to the very real threat of global terrorism. No country is spared from these threats. Our Police and other law enforcement agencies could not be everywhere at all times to protect our lives and property. Security is everybody's business.

We owe ourselves a duty to be vigilant and security conscious. We need to train ourselves, and more so, our security staff, in the relentless fight against acts of terror and other illegal acts. The government has also decided to make it a legal requirement for security officers employed by or thorough security agencies to be trained in the various security duties before they could be deployed to the worksites in Singapore.

All persons employed as security officers must pass 3 courses 1) Provide Guard & Patrol Services 2) Handle Security Incidents & Services 3) Handle Counter Terrorism Activities before they could be deployed as a Licensed security officer. This is a very clear statement that the government only recognised these trained professionals as competent security staff. It is precisely under this understanding that many organisations which employ security staff on their own had sent their staff to our training centre for 8 days training.

If you are a NTUC member, you will be able to enjoy the training assistance supported under the NTUC Surrogate Employer Programme, even if you are not employed as a Security Officer now. You will also be eligible for training allowance of $5 per hour and a training award of $50 (terms & conditions apply).

Please contact our administration officer to find out more about the course now!
