With a feeling of joy and gratitude, I am writing to you to share my good news. I have been offered a job with a company to be involved in their system implementation.
I must say that they have offered this job to me due to the certificates obtained from attending your classes for Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. In the process of their system implementation, there will be intensive documentation and presentation needed for processes and procedures which I will be able to put my Word and PowerPoint skills to great use. They will be using Excel for data conversion as well.
I am very grateful to you for your professional training and motivation by giving me the confidence and knowledge to embark on this new job of this nature. NTUC has been in the forefront of IT training since April 1982. That was a time of rapid technological changes and the beginning of economic restructuring. In the commercial sector, companies were rapidly computerising their systems and processes. Our members were sent for all kinds of in-house computer training by their employers. Our union moved in sync with NTUC Computer Training Centre in its early days to promote its Basic IT Literacy Programme to companies and encouraged our members to pick up IT skills as well.
Today NTUC Computer Training Centre is an established & recognised brand name. I dare say it is one of the best training centres for workers, and its course fees are a steal for union members!
